Men’s Campout

Come join the men of our church for a casual and spiritually uplifting. Sleep in your tents or your cars, get ready for bonfire cookin’, bonfire coffee, s’mores, and more with your favorite guys! Hiking, fishing, and non-motorized boating will all be available. Flush toilets, showers, and drinking water are all available within walking distance from your campsite.

Forest Service Rd 216, Huntsville, TX 77340
(Just 23 mins from April Sound Church) 

Dates:

Friday October 6th & Saturday October 7th.

If you want to come a day early or stay a day later, that’s up to you! If you plan to stay Saturday night, get ready to pack up early in time to shower and change before Church on Sunday!

Cost:

$15/day/camping spot

The camping spots are first come, first serve, pay when you get there so bring cash to cover your cost. All sites include Picnic table, campfire grills, and latern posts. There’s usually free firewood provided by the campground stewards.

this includes room for 2 vehicles and 2 tents per space 

Activities and Highlights:

  • Bring your Bible for Personal Quiet Time & Devotions (unguided)

  • Campfire gatherings

  • Hiking and exploring the beauty of nature

  • Campfire Meals, Smores, Mountain Pies

  • Fishing & Boating if you bring your equipment

Important Notes:

  • Please bring your camping gear, tents, sleeping bags, and personal items.

  • Pack enough food and drinks for the duration of the trip. (Some will be provided)

  • Water At least 1 gallon of water per person, per day of camping as water is not at each campsite

  • Remember to dress appropriately for outdoor activities and varying weather conditions.

  • Weather: low of 70/High of 91 degrees, no rain in the forecast as of Sept. 27th but be sure to check and plan accordingly.

  • Friday Afternoon’s dinner will be provided (burgers with condiments & Chips).

Our Men's Ministry Campout is not just a recreational trip; it's an opportunity to connect with God and each other and to grow in faith and friendship. As we surround ourselves with the beauty of nature, we'll also immerse ourselves in prayer, worship, and the Word of God.

If you can’t camp but still want to come out and join us, feel free to come out and join us during the day. We recommend Friday evening for a meal or Saturday morning for fellowship and a group hike. We’d love to have you participate even if you can’t spend the night!

Please note that we are closely monitoring the possible government shutdown on October 1st. In which case we will reschedule our camping trip for another time.
