First Wednesdays
Date: Wednesday, March 5
Time: 6PM
This month, our First Wednesdays gathering falls on Ash Wednesday, a day set apart for repentance, reflection, and the start of the Lenten season. Historically, many Christians have observed this day by fasting or eating a simpler meal, often forgoing certain meats considered luxuries. Instead, fish became a common choice, symbolizing humility and reliance on God’s provision.
In that spirit, the church will provide fried catfish as the main dish, and we invite you to a side or a dessert.
After our meal, we’ll gather for our Ash Wednesday Service at 7 PM, marking this sacred season with prayer, worship, and the imposition of ashes.
Join us as we share a meal and seek the Lord together at the beginning of Lent.
